Helen Skelton makes love life comment after breaking silence on Gethin Jones 'romance'

Helen Skelton has opened up about her relationship "goals", following her recent comments about Gethin Jones . Discussing the BBC series Lost and Found in the Lakes, the 42-year-old said the emotional stories from the show had prompted her to think more deeply about what she wants romantically. The series, set in the Lake District, follows a team of specialists who search for and recover lost or stolen meaningful items from around the lakes. Reflecting on its premise, Helen explained that many of the items retrieved "represent something" deeply sentimental.

She gave the example of a piece of jewellery that turned out to be a man's first ever gift from his wife of 40 years. "It really taps into the value of sentiment, which is kind of an old fashioned thing in this day and age," she on Radio Times Magazine's YouTube channel. "You're giving them back a ring that they lost ages ago. They start talking about the day that they met 60 years ago and the old romantic in me goes, 'Oh, I want that!'"
