CROSS-EXAMINATION OF THE COMPLAINANT During the man’s cross-examination, he confirmed to Elliott he went to school with the Sarnia police detective who was involved in this case. The man also confirmed to Elliott he flew to Penticton to visit Miller, who purchased his flight, when he was an adult.

The man also confirmed when asked by Elliott if he received legal advice through a lawyer Miller knew and asked Miller if he could use him as a reference on his resume. “Jim can talk,” the man said, adding he can sell anything.
