If you want to know whether your Mortal Shell 2 beta progress transfers to the full game, you've come to the right place. And it's a valid question. After all, you don't want to spend upwards of three hours in a new video game just to have to see it all again when the full launch takes place, you'll be far too excited to get going from where you left off. With the Mortal Shell 2 beta, there are some prerequisites to keeping your progress when the release date arrives, but there are also some rewards available for participating in the beta, so it's worth trying it out while you can. With that in mind, here's everything you need to know about your progress and any Mortal Shell 2 beta rewards.
Do you keep your Mortal Shell 2 beta progress? Only some of your Mortal Shell 2 beta progress carries over to the full game. Players who reach the Marrow Keep in the beta will have the option to skip the prologue when starting the full game, meaning you'll start once again from your first visit to the Keep. This comes just after you complete the fight with the Mortal Shell 2 Tar Golem. All currency, weapons, Shells, collectibles, and other items found during the beta will be wiped from your save, but luckily you won't lose anything from the prologue, as you don't pick anything up in the first section anyway.
This does mean that anything you pick up in the Mushroom Village, including items, progress, Mortal Shell 2 Tarstones, and your Mushroom Village key, will be lost. Mortal Shell 2 beta rewards There is one reward available for participating in the Mortal Shell 2 open beta: The Flayed Harbinger skin. This bloody red skin for your harbinger can be equipped to your player character, giving you this haunting appearance whenever you lose or change your shell. To unlock the Flayed Harbinger Mortal Shell 2 beta reward, you simply have to play the open beta for at least 30 minutes, at which point the skin will become available for you to unlock when the full game is released.
You won't see this in-game or on your Steam account, but provided you played the beta on the same Steam account as you play the full game, your progress will be remembered and the reward unlocked automatically. © GamesRadar+. Not to be reproduced without permission.
