Maria Jose Marin selected for third Arnold Palmer Cup event

Arkansas junior golfer Maria Jose Marin was selected to represent Team International at the Arnold Palmer Cup in July. Marin, the defending NCAA individual champion, has played in the last two Palmer Cup events, leading Team International to the championship last summer at the Congaree Golf Club in South Carolina. Following that win, Marin was voted on by her Team International teammates to receive the exemption for the 2025 Evian Championship, one of the five majors on the LPGA Tour. Marin tied for 70th at Evian, making the cut in her second appearance.

Earlier this spring, Marin won the Augusta National Women’s Amateur by 4 strokes. Since 2018, Arkansas has had 10 golfers selected for the Palmer Cup, a Ryder Cup-style event, starting with Maria Fassi in 2018. Marin and her Arkansas teammates are scheduled to compete in the NCAA Simpsonville (Kentucky) Regional on May 11-13. The Razorbacks are the No. 1 seed in the regional.
